A Better Man
Today I will be a better man
I will try as hard as I can.
However, while working two jobs
One can get lost in the mobs
Of time. I'd hate to let my kids down
But there isn't any way that anything I promised will go down
Today I will be a better man
I tell myself as I look in the mirror
I will not let the the glares, and jeers get to me. I will respect not only me but God and my country. Because if not society will judge me. Deadbeat trying to keep his family off the streets. Not present in your child's lifes, not making enough money to support him.
But you can't take away that smile on his face and ignore him.
Today I will be a better man, I will not make the mistakes of tomorrow. I will not let my child cry, because daddy won't be home. I will not let my wife get angry over something I can control. Today is the day it all changes
Today I will be a better man
