The Better Part of Me

Do you hear the sound of the rain?

the  storm running through my veins.

The stain of the past can only seem to last

Falling in the dark, there is no where to rest my heart.

when will I see the better part of me.

Inside I beg, scream and plead to be the me I need to be.

Why is the path so hard  lead.

I need to know that when I go

I can make it on my own.
