Better Place

You are free

Your in a better place

That is something

I am forced to believe

This all happened so fast

I refuse to think

That your someone

Of my past

I've never felt like this before

I can barely stand

So i sit here

On this bathroom floor

You’re really gone

For good this time

Off this earth

You will never look at me again

Will never write another song

You had so much life to live

You were only 18

You were going to graduate

Enroll in the military

It was only a few months

How can this be

This cant be real

This must be a dream

But you are free

You are in a better place

So

That is what

I must believe.
