Better Things
I can't live without a hope
A hope that there is more
My goal isn't to learn to cope
But to remember there's a future in store.
There are better things.
A little creature sits and stares
A tiny being so filled with despair
My lifelong goal is to show I care
By rescuing these creatures; by being there.
A vet creates better things.
Someone to love and be loved by
A man to hold so deep inside
A partner, support, a love divine
To be a unique and compassionate bride.
Marriage creates better things.
Bows, tutus, pretty in pink
Being a mother is truly unique
Nothing as special as loving a child
My world lights up wiht just one smile.
Children create better things.
I can't live without this hope
A hope for better things
Someday I'll reach these goals
And happiness they'll bring.
There will be better things.
