Better Version

In the shadows of my past, I used to hide,

Lost in the darkness, searching far and wide,

But now I've found a flicker of light,

A burning desire to make things right.

I'm reaching higher, I'm breaking free,

No longer chained by what used to be,

With every step, I'm leaving it all behind,

 A better version of myself, I'm gonna find.

Through the battles fought within my soul,

 I've learned to mend the pieces that were torn,

 I'm shedding old habits, embracing the new,

Becoming the person I always knew.

 I'm reaching higher, I'm breaking free,

 No longer chained by what used to be,

With every step, I'm leaving it all behind,

A better version of myself, I'm gonna find.

 Though the road is rough, and the journey is long,

 I'll rise above, and I'll stay strong,

With every stumble,  every fall,

I'll rise again, In my quest for growth,

 I will not bend for anyone at all

So here I stand, with hope in my eyes,

 A heart filled with dreams that touch the skies,

I'll keep pushing forward, I won't give in,

 For in my transformation, a new life begins.
