Better for you.

Someone once told me,

"Get better for yourself, not someone else."

As good as the advice was I couldn't grasp it.

Then, I met my nephew the day he was born.

I was newly thirteen, and completely in love.

It never changed my mind from wiliting

in upon itself until years later.

As the years passed,

He learned to talk,

Crawl,

Walk,

Run,

And so much more.

Watching him grow gave me hope.

I am now seventeen, almost eighteen.

Watching him become a big brother to one,

Then two little brothers,

Helped me grow.

He'll never know how much he teaches them.

And me.

He has made me love all the things I forgot about.

Grass,

Trees,

La Luna,

Birds,

Air,

Ants,

Everything.

They are everything.

The warriors of my fight.

The air I breathe.

They are everything I have ever wanted

And everything I need.

So,

I may not be able to get

Better for me

But,

I will get

Better for you.
