Between the Frames

There's something off about it all.

A glitch that makes me itch and crawl.

I seem to see between the frames,

so as to bypass all the mains.

Within a dream i once did see,

a stranger drop a ball.

I woke to witness someone's head

be smashed into a wall!

The timing though

was too exact.

The way her head

met with impact.

Twas as if he who dropped the BALL

had wanted me to see her fall!

There's something out of place.

I think it might be me.

They say it's not a race

yet shout "HUMANITY!"

Still racing to the red light, friends?

Can you tell me where THE SIDEWALK ENDS?

For i have looked over the edge,

to see abysses- spiraling dread...

(based on a real life experience and slightly inspired by Shel Silverstein)

Yeti Noone

poet, mystic. Wrote it but somehow... missed it. Dark prose is somewhat of an artform of mine. Each portrait is akin to a dark meditation on the human condition/consciousness or lack thereof.
