Between the Lines

A poem can tell the story

eyes do not express.

My poems present a life

not portrayed on the outside.

Poetry has taught me

to live through my words,

to indulge in the world

brought on by each stanza.

Each line can mean infinity,

with endless versions thought

I search my own

yet, countless times I rought

A poem is life full of beauty

A poem is death awaiting rapture

A poem is the last breath of bliss

Before internally, I am captured

Poetry has taught me to seek all new life

Poetry beckons me, submit to its divine

It taught me to love thy flaws,

for no one is completely sublime.
