Bewitching

She was like the night before a great rainstorm.

She was sublime, alluring, and extraordinary, but she was morbidly dark.

She was lugubrious, but in seconds she could be vituperative, but

She wore it well like a black lacy dress, comely and lissome.

She never looked at me once when I first saw her.

She was cold and opprobrious, but I knew there was a reason.

She was a pedant, but I loved the way she answered with quick wit

She made complete eye contact with me when we first spoke.

She made my knees shake and sometimes even my voice

She kept walking with me even after we left the elevator

She talked with passion and bright eyes and thats when I felt it

She put a chink in my armor which I had sustained for so many years and

She was already stealing my breathe with her cigarette smoke rings

She was everything I wanted and this was my first time talking to this girl

She talked in riddles, monologues, and sarcasm, but she was real

She was a pessamist, but she was a romantic

She would drag me into the woods late in the piercing cold for a midnight walk

She could talk and walk in the cold for hours because

She has done it many times before and not because she wanted to

She always forgot to eat breakfast and sometimes even lunch

She loved to hide in the library and get lost in a book

She always smoked a methol ciagarette before class

She stopped putting up her hair and that was my ultimate weakness

She had long, black, wavy hair with fading red tip dips

She had huge dreams, but she never wanted to sleep

She hated the idea of marriage and flowers, especially roses

She asked me to take her to a field of flowers instead

She was beautiful but...

She was damaged goods

She came to me one day like the night before a great storm

She was lovely

She was dressed in a stormy blue gown, combat boots, and her natural curls

She was stunning and I've never wanted to kiss her so bad

She seemed a bit different today and I felt it as soon as I saw her smile

She was bright eyed like always, but there was something about her smile

She wanted to go for a walk in the woods, although it was early and cold and

She had wet hair with hardly a jacket on

She convinced me anyway and she was smoking more than usual

She walked fast until we walked to an abandoned treehouse

She asked me if I ever walked to die

She was getting creepy, but she was always somehow mysterious to me

She touched me softly and slapped me across the face when I tried to touch her

She pushed me onto the ground covered in broken glass

She had my complete attention and the whole thing felt timeless.

She stared into my soul and the world felt still

She curled onto my lap and pulled a pocket knife to my face

She smiled while I stiffened at the sharp point and my heart raced

She kissed me softly then roughly pulled my hair with vicious soft bites

She scratched my face with her nail instead and stood up

She was so dark, but I wanted her bad

She stood motionless and expressionless for a moment with the knife in her hand

And she said," I put a spell on you."
