Beyond the Flames

Walking down this narrow road

I've never felt so alone

Friends who once were close and near

Slowly start to disappear

Fighting for my one chance;

I walk, in fact I dance,

Through the flames before me

Until I stride strong and free

Now the chains that restrained;

Threw weakness upon me

Now lie still on the floor

Burning in the flames beyond me
