Beyond the Forced Facade

You put me on a pedestal

Yet I’m stuck underneath

Expectations building upon

My unequal reality

The intricacies in these thoughts

Trickle to the desired actions

But I hide beneath its walls

I don’t let you see

What’s beyond the forced facade

Behind my many lies

Beyond my forced facade

Is where I hide

The days grow the visions

Of an ending to these days

I look around and see

My facade is no disguise

To keep the torture at bay

The cycle’s here to stay

But I hide beneath its walls

I don’t let you see

What’s beyond the forced facade

Behind my many lies

Beyond my forced facade

Is where I hide

And I feel like nothing

Up here alone in the clouds

As I hear the thunder on the horizon

See the lightning making its way

The downpour is about to start

But I dont know how long I can stay

But I hide beneath its walls

I don’t let you see

What’s beyond the forced facade

Behind my many lies

Beyond my forced facade

Is where I hide, is where I hide!
