Beyond the screens

The screens

we hide behind

being confined

into this world we call home.

How is it that we can't seem to fit

or be fixed

fixed to these screens

fingers being the only thing we need

and feeling free.

Till we walk the grounds of fellows

and feel so hallow

following the way we think it shoud be.

Having idols that arent idols

who we admire

and shall be inspired

to be someone you were not born to be.

Peers who peer pressure

and adults who lecture for the better of our kind

but we rebell to our screens

a perfect world to be.

Hiding behind a screen

to avoid having a scene

reaching for attention until you receive.

Glued

Tamed

Ashamed

To the screens we hold so tightly

not letting go so lightly

until you become

the one that you love

beyond these screens.
