Bible

Worn leather, threadbare cover

Faded pages, crowded corners.

Hands have held and eyes have scanned,

The endless wisdom on these pages.

Ancient words of truth and beauty,

Words of love that outlast ages.

Words of the King to His children,

Essential to my daily living.

Relevant and never dated,

New wisdom daily giving.

Book of wisdom, love, salvation,

Shape my daily transformation.

Though I fail I keep on reading,

Because Christ I'm daily needing.

Jesus' love in every line,

How He gave His life for mine.
