Big bright lights

Looking out into the crowd

you see a thousand faces smile.

You remember how you were once the smiling face in the crowd

Eager to see what they'd be performing, what songs they'll be singing.

Wondering if you could ever do the same, could you be that brave?

Now you're getting ready for your next show, you think to yourself.

Is there someone in that crowd that is just like me?

Are they wondering if they could be more than a smiling face in the crowd?

You get onto the stage with the biggest smile.

You perform with emotion and you hope that one day,

a smiling face in the crowd, will smile on stage.
