The Big Change of Childhood

Life was always easy and fun.

Didn't had a care in the entire world

Until the bullying and teasing begun

That's when it ended, my dreamworld.

A line was drawn between happiness and pain.

As a young child, you'd never thought that could be.

Negative ongoing thoughts flowed through my brain

That caused the option to flea.

When I was struck by bullies, teasing, and dreadful rumors,

My life started going down the drain.

I didn't want anything more than to welcome the future

With open arms of suffering and pain.

The change had begun and yes, life is about change.

But what happens when that change comes by surprise?

Do I go with the flow or do I manage?

Do I do nothing or do I pray it dies?

At this point, the change needed to turn into greatness.

Learning to ignore the negativity was amazingly hard

But it did not make me determined any less.

Because there's no going back to the things that left me scarred.

Today, I've learned to deal with the impossible as they come.

Every obstacle and every bad memory has made me strong.

This independent and positive girl I've become

Strikes out the negative and shouts, "SO LONG!"
