The Big City

I love going to the big city,

It feels like I was asleep then someone bit me,

I get there and feel the opposite of picky,

It's like time stops tickity ticky,

Does this count as smart or is it tricky,

The smell of the air,

Or the homeless man's hair,

That's what it's like in the big city.

The sight of the big building,

And all of the impatient taxis yielding,

The angry one beeping,

The bar with the roof leaking,

Children hiding and seeking,

The homeless man sleeping,

That's what it's like in the big city.

All of the tourists,

The richest and poorest,

Come to see one thing,

Going to the city is a must,

Like pong must have ping,

Like yang must have ying,

Or a Queen to a King,

That's what it's like in the big city.

In the fall it is chilly,

Now aren't you silly,

You thought I was talking about New York, but I was talking about Philly,

That's what it's like in the big city.
