Big City Dreams
Pain.
listening to her critize and deidealize what you have. anything you've ever wanted or worked for. making you believe that no matter what you do now, in a couple years you'll be begging for spare change, lieing on the concrete of the city you dreamt of living in so badly.
Concrete.
What's so solid about this anyways? Nothing is for certain. Millions of young peope wake up holding the same dream you dreamt. Only a few can make it in reality so why do you think you can get it? You're not different nor special.
Different.
Nothing is the same anymore. Nobody looks the same or acts the same. You can't just go outside to play anymore. You have responsibilities. It's not just 17 year old You anymore. It's 17 year old You, college You, career You, and future family You that needs to be taken into consideration with every action you take and every decision you make.
Take.
Take every dime. Take every second. Take every opportunity. Take the good advice and positive energy. Take the negative thoughts, actions, and words and throw them away. Take away the uncertainty. And in the end, you'll be walking down the street surrounded by Sky Scrapers and millions of faces you'll never see again. Pain will be a distant memory and a left over reminder that you deserve every step you take on the concrete built from dreams of this City Life.
