Big Red Eyes

Big red eyes,
Watch you as you drift,
Float,
And give in to sleep.
Darkness swallowing your every limb til nothing is left visible but big red eyes,
You lay still entrapped in a dream,
Or is it a nightmare?
You start to squirm.
You start to scream.
The eyes are close then before.
Closer,
Closer,
And closer the eyes get,
Til they are there,
Lurking over your bed,
Watching you as you scream.
You open your eyes only to realize your nightmare has become a reality.
You feel something
Pain
But what from?
You feel something wet,
Cold,
Nasty,
Dripping down your face,
Blood?
You scream,
Scream,
Scream,
Scream,
Louder,
Louder,
And louder,
But no one can hear you.
Your screams are muffled by a pillow,
You try to catch your breath.
Breath.
After breath,
After breath,
But you can’t breathe.
Your senses are starting to dull,
You can’t breath,
You can’t hear,
You can't see,
You can't move,
Finally you give in,
You are gone.
