Big Sister

The one who went before me

Taking the risky route

To warn me of what lies ahead

and kill all my self-doubt

The one who tells me what I should do,

but loves me even if I don't

She always lends a listening ear

and stands up for me when I won't

Close friends by choice

Thank God for my sister

Who showed me how to share my voice
