binaural

I hear out of two ears

one early, one late

they tell me the time,

they lie.

they separate

events and places, envelopes and latency

crashing like waves on a bloated carcass.

I see out of two eyes

one left, one right

both wrong.

eyes crossed, wide, apart and shut

things that are little seem

far, big seems near

but the opposite is true

big is now,

left is right

and yesterday is really gone.
