Bipolar

There’s never been more laughter, the stretched lines around her pale lips The slight creases on the sides of her eyes The room is envious of her beauty-her mirth They laugh along with her wanting to enjoy her delight None understand the consequence of her smiles The repercussions of her glee And as they pool around my cheeks I remember when it pooled at my thighs When it pooled at your lungs Those were the good days I never guessed my inadequacies How my so called courage would break me in the end. And as the flood rose I rose with it until you grabbed my hand and pulled me down There’s never been more pain
