Bipolar
Standing out in a school of fish
Feeling different than all the others
All alone in a crowded sea
Finally sinking to rock bottom
I remember the ocean of tears
That is echoing in my head
As disappointment washes over me
I suffer from emotions
That are swimming through my mind
I want them to be still
Then, the tsunami overflows again
Pulling me away from shore
I look around frantically
Reaching for a lifeline tossed toward me
From where it’s least expected
My mother
