The Bird That Flew Over Cinderella

“ CINDERELLA!!!”

                       “ CINDERELLA!!!!!!”

“ CINDERELLA !!!!!!!”

Here our heroine lies

On the floor for the daiy cries

Curling up into a ball

Holding for her dear life, to not fall

“ COME HERE, THIS INSTANT!!!! “

“ YOUR FATHER WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED “

Guilt courses through her veins

Lies, must stop before they claim

Clenching her teeth to hide the tears

Otherwise she will meet her fears

“ YOUR MOTHER HATED YOU, SHE DIED TO FORGET YOU”

“ YOU ARE A WASTE OF SPACE”

“ Stop, please stop-”

Her face felt like a wet sop

She turned her eyes to the window

And felt as if she was in limbo

She saw the blue jay bird flying

The little thing was gliding

“ WHERE ARE MY PINS?!!!!”

” HEY! I’M TALKING TO YOU!!!!”

But all she was fixated on the majestic and free

The blue jay stared back from the tree

She wanted to soar high into her blue sky

And began to imagine what it's like to fly

How high she could soar

Without ever touching the floor

“ Where is my dinner?!”

She grasp hold of her mind

Never to be blind

Of the cruelties that have been afflicted

All pain and sorrow are now evicted

“ Good bye”

“I’m going to fly”

Astonishment read on their faces

Now she can explore to high places

I wrote this poem to show that not all princesses are meant to have a beautiful plot and have to rely on a prince or wizard to solve their problems, I want the message that although princesses have their life handed out to them, Cinderella must have faced emensive cruelty and unfair treatment that she felt less of a human being. I also want to add the domestic problems people face - no matter the age as a revelation that toxic people must be left behind and all anyone can do is soar high.
