Bird of ill omen

When you see the black wings,

When you hear the squacks and screams.

You can hear the flapping feathers,

And the eyes like gleaming jet.

That is the feeling of the ravens,

As they move around you.

However these birds of ill omen,

Who bring the luck of darkness.

They have a beauty like the night,

With the moon gleaming off their wings.

You can choose to see the darkness,

And only see their past.

But I choose to see the beauty and wonder,

The shimmer of blue and violet.

They may not be the color,

They may not be the music.

But a raven is a wonder,

And a wonder is awesome.
