Birdcage


Your screams, disruptive.
Why do we always do this?
Silence, destructive.
 
“You’re out past curfew.”
“Just come out of your birdcage."
If only they knew.
 
Do not hope for change.
Expect nothing but a lock.
A lock for your cage.
