The Birds and The Trees

Don’t fret, don’t sob, don’t wallow in woes

Come here darling, for there’s a story to be told

One quite special and extraordinary

For it’s a tale about you and me

And even the birds and the trees

You see, we live on a rock

That spins quite quickly through vast space

Surrounded by brothers and sisters, similar but vastly disparate

Entirely comprised of the same substances

That pulse through you and me and the birds and the trees

From where did these come?

Why the stars themselves

Broiled up within the massive beauties

Until one day their eruption cast them out

And they were molded into our little rock

Now they make us, our friends, and loved ones

And even the birds and the trees

So you see when the times are hard

Don’t fret, don’t sob, don’t worry

For you are a miracle, born from the stars
