Birds Prevail on Dawn / Abu Karim

Birds do not possess land.

They don’t have to hustle with one another

on the isles of their land.

Kites fly in the sky at noon.

Bats dangle with branches in the midst of

dense darkness of night.

All animals remain busy at day time.

Some of them roam desperately for work

At night too. Birds prevail on dawn.

Birds get up as dawn peeps out in the east.

They fly noisily among the leaves of trees.

They go on singing, in different sounds,

their sorrow, pique or joy nonstop in the woods.

They go on chirping, tireless

When dawn peeps out of darkness.
