Birth

A blast of ecstasy is unleashed,
And so is a whirlpool of confusion
Showing an aurora of colors.
I have no control over my body
The world turns intolerably frigid
I shake as I feel ten puncturing snakes
Rattling on through my body.
Shocked and numb as I was
I somehow made it to your arms:
Heavenly, cozy, and securing.
I heard the rhythm of your soul
I looked up to your face,
Oh! Your face was glowing there
Like the infant Sun must have
I knew right there and then that
You would be my Home.
