Birth of an Advocate

Too scared to talk

Too scared to play

Simply hiding out in the library

All day

Trapped in the library’s vast worlds

Not wanting to face the limited reality of outside

No, no, too shy

Yes ma’am

Friends taught me life can be fun

With uniqueness and interesting stories

I hold with pride

Ready to share with the world

Next, I see I am in a room

Filled with important, young lawyers

Amongst the sea, I see myself

Oh, waiting for the day I can too be

Anahi, let’s go do something today

Why definitely, with care and confidence

Cheering for myself to move forward

And cheering for the others around me to move forward
