The Birth of a Poem

Anger, Bitterness, Pain, Regret, Fear, Loneliness, Uncertainty...I carry these emotions with me and over time they tangle into

A seething, hysterical knot of writhing feelings and the only way I can slowly uncoil this confusion, this mess

Is seizing upon words that translate these incomprehensible thoughts into something coherent

Unraveling this knot of irrationality into the rational

Deconstructing the abstract into the tangible

Until they lay upon a once blank page

In the forms of a

Poem
