A Birthday

A birthday.

Such a weird concept,

or at least I would say.

A young mind a year older, as of today.

Hooray.

Why do we celebrate an entire day?

A candle.

A stick with a wick.

To blow it out, you must make a wish.

This is not a trick.

And from the bottom,

There's cake frosting to lick.

And now I feel sick.

A cake

It's put in the oven to make

If you make a mistake,

And you overbake

There will be no cake.

Oh my gosh,

Everyones out there,

To talk is a big scare.

I need a break.

And maybe some cake.

Birthdays.

They don't make sense.

Why celebrate when you just feel suspense?

The cake is dense.

These candles smell like incense.

Those people out there put in their two cents.

Why celebrate when you just feel suspense?

It doesn't make sense.
