BIRTHDAY

Blow out the candles and make a wish,

wait for the snap of a camera before you take a bite out of that cake,

these moments and memories we make nobody will be able to recreate,

go ahead help yourself to a full plate of however much you can take,

a celebration with many people close,

yet it seems like that don't know,

the person I am,

although through the years they watched me grow,

Blow out the candles,

ignore the design,

It's fine It's fine,

just keep using that line,

after all cake is cake,

and the name they call out is one I can't stand,

deep inside I have enough tears to fill up a lake,

but I can't help but wonder if everything isn't real- is it all fake?

Iḿ M, I like reading, writing, cooking, acting, and helping others. Good luck to other poets out there, and never give up on your dreams. No matter how hard it seems.
