A Birthday Whatever

Tick-tock, tock-tick Another year gone. In the great game of life You're no longer a pawn. Are you taller? Prettier? Smarter? Pssh! It's your birthday, who gives a lick?! The world seems the same But you're so different now. Smothered by Hallmark cards And overzealous friends who ALWAYS have a cow. If you die from the "SURPRISE!" you'll know who to blame! No, maybe things are better Maybe a little worse. Well, you're not getting any younger Not that it's your bubble I want to burst. So look at the glass half full (or just grab the whole pitcher) That's all I've got to say so... later.
