Bit More Color

In between all the thoughts and the profits

I’d held on to that mistaken cause but

They're wanting the family flawless

Yeah, they've just been ready tonight

Mom and dad just won't stop it

Telling me you better not cross it

The words break through my walls, catastrophic

Yeah here comes another fight

I wish I could tell them all my fears

But I can't talk through these tears

They can't understand what I'm saying

So I keep praying

Please lord just let them understand

I dont want to have to keep the score firsthand

I want to have it with no pain and they know what i would do but

I’d give anything to have things be regular

No swears, no tears, and influence from the beers

How hard it would be to have a life with a bit more color

Wish there’s a way they were faking

and that it just a game they were playing

Or that i could just forget what they were saying

Throw away the scorecard

All we need to do is discard and move on

No need to be on guard

Just turn off all the hurt

Please lord just let them understand

I don’t want to have to keep the score firsthand

I want to have it with no pain and they know what i would do but

I’d give anything to have things be regular

No swears, no tears, no influence from the beers

How hard would it be to have a life with a bit more color

Oh i wish it didnt make me want to cry

I wish that they didnt make me have to decide

Oh i wish it didnt break me inside

Just a bit more color
