Bitten Nails

small crescents
dusted with broken pieces of nail lacquer
.
.
.
.
.
.
drop to the floor
.
.
once again
.
all because of the whimpers of my sunken self
remind me
.
.
.
these hands won't find your perfection again
won't be intertwined with yours any longer.
