"Bitter Surrender"
I will never have the chance to hold your hand,
experience your warm hugs,
and get lost in the beauty of your eyes.
What hurts more is that you'll never recognize me.
Never recognize how I laugh and smile,
never recognize how I write about you,
never recognize the things I do,
never recognize what I will do for love.
May the best of days be ahead of you,
and may you find happiness wherever you go.
Now is the time for me to let go,
for the sake of my sanity, and yours too.
