Bitter Sweet
Sweetness of light caressing the day.
Your lips gentle and forgiving.
Soft and ever sweet.
Love is in the air.
The wind is deep in sleep, safe in the curls of your hair.
Time can't touch us here.
In the circle of your arms the world is far but near.
Only the beauty of the sun on your face can reach us here.
I am safe here.
Out of reach from the word of fear.
I am safe here in the circle of your arms.
Just beauty can reach us here.
Your lips are soft as they make there way.
I am safe here from pain.
Arms, strong enough to keep the world from leaking in.
Your lips upon my back, they keep the world at bay.
I drift in our world, made up of just us two.
Here I sit as the sun begins to fade and the running breeze reminds me...
Your arms are far away,
I am not safe here from pain.
