Bitter-Sweet

The days when you were alone. The halls all empty for 3 years straight. At least for you, something you thought you were prone to. Realized that it was hurting you at a slow rate. I isolated myself to get away. Trust issues bigger than ever. Built walls and a new place. You were lied to and had no one to sit by at the lunch table. I did realize in the end I had one friend. Not an aquaintance. a friend, no pretend. No date to prom, probably the only one but you didn't mind too much, you no longer easily fall. Your independence rate was once good and now it's great. You graduated, technically alone. You learned who your real friend was, the one who was there when you fell, when you lost trust, were betrayed and knows me for me. High school was bitter-sweet.
