Bitter Sweet

We touch new and old lives everyday

Some for forever, others for a moment

The influence we have on everyone is indescribable,

yet yours has been forever rememberable

The way you kissed my head,

How you brushed my cheek

wiping streaming tears

The way our lips intertwined

leaving a bitter sweet taste behind

No one has left a mark on me like you have

Now instead of locked lips

I'm left with locked lids

of a substance I shouldn't be holding

I'm here, stranded and crying

Waiting

for that bitter sweet taste

to start fading
