The Bitter Truth About Senior Year

I can’t believe my senior year is here.

Debating if this year should go by fast.

Hoping most things in end will be endeared.

Making memories that will always last.

In the beginning I thought I got this,

And now I feel my brain slowly dying.

Wish I could go back to my childhood’s bliss.

Where high school appeared all mystifying.

They say this year’s the best year of high school,

And I have found that to be such a lie.

Despite that I am still keeping my cool,

In hope that will become as sweet as a pie.

We need to swim through the waves of this sea,

In order to reach the part filled with glee.
