Bitter Words

Bitter words like bitter waters, Hard to ears but so much matters; To the soul whose want our good, Its nutrition the hated food. Truth's harsh message horrible dart, Arrows in fool's feeble heart; Taking offence without a cause, For all he wants is his own course. Wisdom's channel path so dreaded, Which with him have brought much hatred; Not by him nor by his deeds, But men with hate as bestrewed seeds.
