the bitterness of disappointment

i wait for trains

in cities i’ve never been in

waiting on everything

that i deep down knew

would never exist

disappointment is a bitch

or so it’s said

human beings

are not like clay

they don’t mold

the way you

want them to

what can you do

when all you have seen

is betrayal and backstab

tears and cries for change

change that could happen so quickly

how even your best friend could

turn into your enemy

in a millisecond
