Bittersweet
The last time, the last time for everything
I wont step on this field again
I’ll never see the same smiling faces
Never take the same route to class
Go to lunch with the same people
Everything is about to change because it’s the last time
The last time for everything
What about the first times that are yet to come?
When that first time comes that we live away from home
The first time we fail a test when we vow to get straight A’s
The first time we laugh so hard tears roll down our cheeks
There will be a new field
New smiling faces
New routes
New designated lunch people
And that’s what this is all about.
