Bittersweet

the light that trickles through the trees

the blue sky far as I can see

the grass that grows beneath my feet

these are things that inspire me

a childs laugh, a gentle hug

being cozy, feeling snug

a funny quote on a coffee mug

with some hot cocoa for me to chug

the lines of a melody, simple and sweet

the pounding bass of a solid beat

a rhythm I feel in my feet

song so sad it's bittersweet
