A Bittersweet Memory

I remember when I first fell in love with you, Oh how that day changed my life. It was one of those relieving moments, When you realize your dreams can come true. But as time went by my love grew stronger and stronger, while yours got weaker and weaker. You went from being the greatest thing in my life, To a bittersweet memory. I visited you every day during the summer, And each time I was very pleased. I thought the feeling was mutual until the end of vacation when I began to feel teased. Your charming invitations in the mail were great, And the sensation I got when you entered me was even greater. But the feeling I got when I left your presence is why you’re just a bittersweet memory. What you offered me no longer made me feel thrilled and complete. Instead I felt sick, infected with a temporary fulfilling disease And it explains why I was craving for more. I may not have completely moved on from you Mr. Ronald McDonald Chicken Nugget, But I am in the process And that’s why you went from the greatest thing in my life to a bittersweet memory.
