Bittersweet Temptation (Written: 11/6/2012)

a poison without thorns
is like a monster without horns
and if i was here
i know you'd be there
temptation kills
as if you swallowed pearls and slurs
in the beginning of Sunday morning
your body quivers
as she raises herself onto the pole
she's not a stripper
but an artist, she told
you have a girlfriend
a good life
everything you could ask for
but this temptation
is sinking its teeth into your skin
the poison is spreading
and you don't know where to begin
the monster inside of you
just wants to eat her all up
taking her all in
like this is just purely lust
fighting back is the only medicine
but you give in
to the poison without thorns
called temptation.

I've always kept whatever I wrote to myself, stored away. The reason being is because back in high school I used to write every year for the literary garland. And finally I became a senior and wanted to join their new, "Creative Writing" class. You had to go through an interview, the funny thing is they told me, "I don't think this is for you." Irony. In the end they ended up picking all their favorite students and being a shit class with nothing productive. I've been out of high school for almost 6 years now and I don't remember much of what I've learned, because they never taught me anything useful. I like being able to express myself in more ways than one, writing is just one of them. Fashion is a daily one.
