Black Is

BLACK IS
Long ago blacks were sold
Back in the era of Slaves
I didn't witness but I was told
We were used as machines
But fed like urchins
We were bond in chains heavy enough to way a man down but we still worked
Growing up I was told black is pain
Nothing good can ever come out I that color
Black is vain
But no I think black is gain
Black is fame
Despite hardship it still remains
Black is resilient
Black is courageous
Black is brave
No matter the pressure it still strives
Black remains
Just like the night our fame goes round the world in its time
Black is terrible but no
Black is wonderful
They say black is timid but no
Black is vivid
Black is rigid and incorrigible
Black is full courage
Black is brain
