black

I was told you are black

The color of those who lack.

Look how ugly you look

Black as a crow in a book

No matter how hard you bath

You come out the same in the aftermath

You come from a black continent

No wonder why you are persistent

Not only that you, you seem content

Content with being poor which is relevant

Very relavant to the color of your skin.

The color of my skin is not a sin

This is the color of those who win

The color of greatness you haven't seen

The color of resilence and vigour

The color of the man on the pyramids

The color of the fathers of civilisation.

I am black as charcoal not as a crow

And I lack succour but stand first in the roll

I am content because I am of the mother continent

Unlike you fake humans who are a contigent to my continent.

Elfuric

Ever since I learnt how to write I never stopped writing short stories, poems and ideas. I am from Africa living in South Africa, Joburg. I am a business man with a love for music and writing. Its lovely how a poem can be turned into a song. Rhythm and Words are my closest friends. I respect The Sound of Life and the power in following your Heart which makes Music till the day you die.
