Black in America

What is Black? A race or just a color? Black is a beautiful movement Black is tradition Black is you, me, we Black is history, present and future yet, Black is opinionated Black is disowned Black is unappreciated Black is overlooked and unloved Black is a variable--forever shifting Indefinite in direction and uncertain of fate Black is what they tell us but also what we believe Black is brave Black is Bold Black is Martin, Rosa, Shirley, Cassius, Ray, Stevie, Aretha, Jackie, Venus, Serena and Tiger Black is Kobe, Lebron, Kanye, Spike, Maya, Whitney and Malcolm Black is Barack Black is NOT America Black is IN America Black is powerful Black is in our veins and roots but-- Black is Black Black is us Black is what we allow it to be Black is..
