In Black and White

Everything looks so much different in black and white. You can't see all of the colors that are around. You also can't see the pain in a picture, you can't even see the happiness in a black and white colored picture. Simply because it is written in black and white with no emotion. When you let a picture's true beauty show, you show everything in the picture. You show your true self, which is the true beauty of something. When I put a filter on my picture I know it is not who I truly am, it just makes me look better to the world. It hides the slightest blemish, the smallest wrinkle, and even the least noticeable dimple. It makes me feel confident in myself. It makes me feel like for once in my life I can be as pretty as all of the other girls who don't use a filter on their pictures. But when you really think about it, everyone uses a filter somehow in their life. It doesnt just have to be in a picture. Everyone wants to be some kind of perfect or make themselves better somehow. This is just as sad a black and white picture. It is sad and gloomy without any emotion. I have come to realize that you don't need a filter to be beautiful, you just need to be yourself.
